The event will feature over 250 visual artists and over 40 musical performances. For 17 years the Minneapolis riverfront hosted the beloved Stone Arch Festival of the Arts. This festival came to an end last summer upon the passing of its founder, Ira Heilicher. “Minneapolis is lucky to have committed business leaders who are willing to step up to ensure that we have an array of arts and cultural events and community celebrations throughout the year,” said Mayor R.T. Rybak. “The Mississippi Riverfront is one of Minneapolis’ most valued natural assets and I am delighted that the Stone Arch Bridge Festival will give us the opportunity to celebrate how the River helps make our city such a great place to live and visit.” “Father’s Day weekend in Minneapolis wouldn’t be the same without arts, music, and festivities along the Mississippi River,” says Matt Mithun, owner of the Stone Arch Bridge Festival. “We are happy to help continue this creative energy in the Twin Cities. In addition to supporting the local arts and music scene, we hope that the neighborhood businesses continue to reap the benefits of having 70,000 people spend the weekend experiencing this beautiful part of Minneapolis.”

Virginia Highlands ( Atlanta) Art Festival June 2-3rd

artist market The artist market is a juried event featuring original artwork of more than 220 artists from all over the southeast. You will find artists specializing in painting, sculpture, jewelry, textiles/fiber arts, photography, clay, wood, metal, graphics and mixed media.
